Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions define our particular rights and obligations. Please read them carefully as once you start your tour, by default you agree to accept and abide by these terms and conditions.

1. Introductory Statements

SLOVAKIA TOURING is the incoming section of BELLA ITALIA, the outgoing tour operator represented by its owner Anna Raffaelli.

The contract is made between:

(hereinafter referred to as ‘tour operator’ or ‘we’)


The person(s) who booked the tour
(hereinafter referred to as ‘tour member’ or ‘you’)

2. Payment for the tour; the Contract

The tour operator will only confirm your booking once we have received full payment for your tour.Once the tour operator confirms your booking a contract is made between ‘Anna Raffaelli – BELLA ITALIA’ and you upon the terms and conditions set out below.

3. Booking

3.1. When your full payment is received, you will be allocated a place(s) on the particular tour and a booking confirmation will be emailed to you. This confirmation should be printed and saved as it is required to be shown to the tour guide at the beginning of tour.

3.2. All internet bookings will be confirmed by email. We accept no responsibility for failure or inability to deliver the booking confirmation if you provide us with incorrect email address or if this is caused by Internet malfunction. If you do not receive the booking confirmation of the tour(s) you have paid for on time or at all, then you must ask us to resend it.

3.3. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of all tour details upon receipt of your booking confirmation.

4. Travel Insurance

Please be aware that there is no travel insurance cover included in the price of the tour. We take no responsibility for any injuries, theft, loss or damage to personal belongings from at any time during the duration of your tour. We recommend that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, and money and public liability before you travel.

5. Cancellation

5.1. Cancellation of your booking must be sent to us by email.

5.2. You are entitled to a full refund only if you inform us of your intention to cancel 3 and more days before the date of your tour.

5.3. If you decide to cancel within 48 hours before the date of your tour, you are entitled to no refund. You can choose to change the date of your tour. Permission to do this is subject to a 15 EUR fee and is entirely at the discretion of the tour operator.

5.4. If you have covered the reason of your cancellation by your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim under that policy.

6. Refunds

6.1. You are also entitled to a full refund in the highly unlikely event that your tour guide does not meet the tour and as a result the tour will not run. We will endeavour to ensure that this situation never happens.

6.2. Refunds may only be made by bank transfer to the bank account of the person to be refunded. This cannot be done by credit card and the onus is on the person to be refunded to provide bank account details, IBAN and swift code with email proof on any overcharge.

7. Possible changes made by us

7.1. For the smooth and/or safe run of tours we reserve the right to alter or adjust our itineraries at any time and at our discretion. Such alterations or adjustments also apply to providing respective services during tours and may include substituting alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value.

7.2. We reserve the right to alter or cancel the whole or part of the tour if the events outside the control of the tour operator cause such necessary arrangements. These may result from (but will not be limited to) such force majeure matters as severe local weather conditions or warnings, natural disasters, civil strikes, terrorist activity, fire, flood and snow conditions, etc. No compensation will be paid if the cancellation was caused by force majeure matters.

8. Transport

8.1. We use various types of transport to run our tours. Normally, for smaller numbers of tour members, means of public transport as trains, local buses and trolley buses, but also taxis will be used. We also cooperate with tour guides who run our tours on our behalf using their own vans or mini-buses in the regions outside of Bratislava.

8.2. Possibility to order bus transport for your chosen tour is subject to strict booking rules and conditions of transport companies and depends on such facts as time of booking and/or availability of buses. You agree that if there is no possibility to secure a bus for your chosen tour, it will be run by means of public transport, identically as if run for the smaller number of tour members.

9. Pick up points

All of our tours depart from pick up points and at times specified in the respective tour descriptions. Your responsibility is to meet your tour at arranged points and times.

10. Travelling

10.1. Whilst travelling with us you must obey the laws of Slovak Republic and the European Union. Failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave the tour. It is up to our representative to decide to cancel your tour or not and their decision will be final. No refund will be paid in such a case.

10.2. For smooth run of the tour and in the interests of safety your tour guide may need to make certain decisions. Acting in accordance with the decisions of our appointed representative is a booking condition. Failure to do so and/or if you are not compatible with the general enjoyment of the tour members may result in you being asked to leave the tour. If this happens we will not be liable for any refund, compensation or any additional costs incurred by you.

10.3. Because of the nature of the transport used, the tour operator will not be held responsible if any service leaves earlier and/or leaves or arrives later than in its scheduled time, even if as a result you miss a connecting service.

11. Your obligations and responsibilities

11.1. Any passengers under 15 must be accompanied by a person who is 18 years old and over.

11.2. Not to neglect any health issues you must inform us of any medical condition that requires attention or medication. This must be done by email and before you start your tour.

11.3. It is your responsibility to have all necessities required for your itinerary e.g. visas, passports, permits and certificates as well as all necessary vaccinations.

11.4. It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable laws.

11.5. You agree that if your tour guide takes photographs or films of you as a part of a group during the tour, these can be used in our advertising and publicity materials without having to obtain any further consent or having to pay for using such photographs and/or films.

11.6. If consumption of certain services is included within the tour (wine/spirits tasting, coffee, non-alcoholic drink, cake), it is specified for each particular tour respectively. You will be informed by your tour guide about the arranged consumption. All exceeding consumption is up to you to pay for directly to the service provider.

11.7. If you are on a day tour with us there is time reserved for your lunch. Please note that meal is not included in the price of tour; the price of tour covers solely the services and in the volume that is specified in the description of the particular tour.

11.8. As a member of your tour you agree to accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by your actions. Compensation for such a damage or loss must be paid in full at the time and directly to the service provider or person who is in charge of the service provided. If you do not do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions.

11.9. We would ask you to show courtesy and respect to your tour guide, driver and the other tour members so everyone can enjoy the tour. If this condition is not met, you may be asked to leave the tour without any compensation. This decision will be made at the management’s discretion.

12. Complaints

We will do the utmost so you enjoy the tour to the maximum satisfaction. Still, there may be a situation in which you may wish to complain formally against the tour operator. Please inform your tour guide, driver or tour operator representative about the matter at the time; they will endeavour to resolve it immediately. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately or during the tour, your complaint should be made in writing and sent to the tour operator’s postal address (stated in Introductory Statements) as soon as possible after the tour, but within 90 days thereof so that it can be dealt with. Your complaint must be signed by our representative or your tour guide and fulfill all general and specific requisites of legal act in accordance with the Civil Code of Slovak Republic. We will deal with your complaint with respect and courtesy. However, we will not accept any complaints after the 90-day period.

13. Final Statements

13.1. This contract and all matters emerging out of it are governed by Slovak law. The tour operator and you both/all agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which emerges out of or in connection with this contract or your tour will be dealt with by the Courts of Slovak Republic or, in accordance with the Slovak Codex Law No. 250/2007 about consumer protection, by alternative Slovak dispute resolution entity in cases specified by the Slovak Codex Law No. 391/2015 about alternative dispute resolution.

13.2. Changes to these Booking Conditions will only be valid if agreed by the tour operator in writing.

13.3. Anna Raffaelli – BELLA ITALIA tour operator is insured against insolvency in insurance company KOOPERATIVA, a.s., Vienna Insurance Group in accordance with the Slovak Codex Law No. 281/2001 about tours and tour operators’ and tour agencies’ business conditions.

13.4. You agree that the tour operator processes personal data in its necessary extent only when needed, in accordance with the Slovak Codex Law No. 122/2013 about personal data protection.
